I've decided to write about some of my favorite parts of camp before I forget them.
This was one of the early ones of the summer. It was our first session, Youth, and the last day we had with them. We had eaten and done awards and danced up a pretty good sweat already. Onandoga (our cafeteria building) was probably not the best place for the dance because it was HOT. Everyone was a mess but it was so much fun. I was standing out of the crowd trying to cool down when Taylor Swifts song Trouble came on. I could not help myself and in 2 seconds flat I'd transformed into my true 12 year old was burst into the crowd with my girls. We had a good number of CODAS (Children of Deaf adults) this session so they were totally jamming. We signed every word of that song while singing at the top of our lungs. There was even a bit of throwing ourselves on the floor, I mean how could we not with a line like "now I'm lying on the cold hard ground". It was soooo much fun. I could tell the girls were really enjoying seeing me be so crazy almost as much as I was.
